Design Your Own JDRF NASCAR Contest!

Ford Customer Service Division and Wood Brothers Racing are offering one JDRF child the creative chance of a lifetime – to design the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion Nascar Sprint Cup Series Car Racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway in October!

Prize Details

The winning child of the 2010 JDRF Design Contest and their parents will participate in the vehicle unveiling at Wood Brothers Racing shop in Charlotte, NC, on Wednesday, October 13, 2010. In addition, the winning child and their parents will get to see their design run at Charlotte Motor Speedway for NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying on Thursday, October 14, 2010.

Entry Details

Starting May 26 through June 25, 2010, children ages 5-18 with type 1 diabetes, can submit their own NASCAR design the race car body and hood using the entry form.  DOWNLOAD THE DESIGN FORM >>

All eligible design entries must be mailed and postmarked by Friday, June 25, 2010 to:

The two winning designs from our chapter will be submitted into the Design Your Own JDRF NASCAR online design contest found at www.jdrf.org/ford. Family, friends and all visitors will be encouraged to make donations in support of their favorite design. The donations will be credited to the child’s family walk team. The top five designs receiving the highest bid totals will be provided to Ford where the final winner will be selected.

Timeline

Submit Designs > June 3 – June 25, 2010

Designs Posted/Bids Begin > July 1 – August 31, 2010

Winner Selected > Week of September 6, 2010

Paint Scheme Running > Bank of America 500, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Charlotte NC, Saturday, October 16, 2010.

Designs must be submitted by children with type 1 diabetes, ages 5-18. Only one design may be submitted per child. Designs must be hand-drawn.
