Pitch and Cathie Johnson devoted supporters of a wide variety of educational, cultural, and community institutions and highly respected Bay Area philanthropists. Pitch Johnson, Founder of Asset Management Company, is a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm. Asset Management has played an integral role in funding life science companies engaged in crucial research and development central to therapeutic and cure science for several diseases.
The black tie evening begins at 5:30 PM with Cocktails and a Silent Auction. The Hope Gala Auction Committee is highly regarded for creating unique and one-of-a-kind experiences while raising millions for diabetes research.
Past auctions have offered trips to the world’s most luxurious resorts and culinary adventures with the country’s leading chefs. This year’s auctions will feature fine wine, art, retail, jewelry, sporting events and restaurant and entertainment packages.
The Silent Auction closes promptly at 7:00PM, a signal to guests that Dinner, the Live Auction and Special Video Presentation will follow. Big Bang Beat, a 12-piece stage extravaganza featuring 4 vocalists and nonstop dancing to the best party songs from the big band era to today.
