COMMUNITY AWARENESS

Communities live and work together, and at times join together to achieve exceptional success in support of special needs. We understand the economic times and sincerely appreciate any and all donations. We hope everyone enjoys the festivities and takes advantage of touring the In-Shape Sports Club facility, meeting the trainers, and establishing new relationships. In addition to hourly raffle drawings, special events include spin competitions throughout the 24 hour period with winners and awards and a very special event, “Remember Me”, whereby local resident diabetics are identified and honored. Won’t you please join Russell Voss and the Spin for the Cure! and a day of celebration to benefit the Ride to Cure Diabetes?

ABOUT JDRF

JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 diabetes research worldwide. It was founded in 1970 by parents of children with type 1 diabetes. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults suddenly, and can be fatal. Until a cure is found, people with type 1 diabetes have to test their blood sugar and give themselves insulin injections multiple times or use a pump — each day, every day of their lives. And even with that intensive care, insulin is not a cure for diabetes, nor does it prevent its eventual and devastating complications. Please be part of the cure and support the cause today.
