Artificial Pancreas Project Featured Today on Channel 2 KTVU The Doctors

Today at 4:00 PM on the nationally-syndicated television show The Doctors (CBS Channel 2 KTVU)  will present Futuristic Medicine Can Change Your Life.

According to the show’s website thedoctorstv.com/main/show_page/D2123 the program will explore “bionic limbs, robots and advanced biotechnology … the fantastical designs of science fiction are fast becoming a life-saving reality. See a robotic breakthrough for the treatment of autism.  Defy gravity with a hyperbaric oxygen chamber for pets.”  The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Artificial Pancreas Project will be included in the segment as “Bionic Pancreas in which Dr. Aaron Kowalski discusses the future of a bionic pancreas, which is still in development.”  In the segment, Dr. Kowalski explains how an artificial pancreas will work and how it can benefit people with diabetes.
